HERE'S WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT MEI am a twenty-four year old project manager who loves rock climbing, traveling the world, solving problems and learning daily. My passion is people: I like hearing their stories and encouraging them to grow. I want an adventurous and meaningful life; I see no reason not to be bold and unique. A few of my accomplishments to date are:
Some of my current aspirations are to become a motivational speaker (perhaps a TED talker one day), encourage student development at local universities and pursue leadership roles within my co-ed fraternity. |
the qualities i feel that i possess
One of my key attributes that people tell me I possess is that I get the job done. This is because I'm a good motivator, I am very organized and I believe quality matters. Mostly, I strive to do the best that I can, and I like to make a splash! During one such project, with the deadline approaching, a colleague of mine joked to me by saying "Where there's a Brikken, there's a way". I laughed it off thinking such a comment was absurd, not wanting to admit to it without sounding full of myself, but when I really thought about it, it was kind of true. Under pressure, I'm the one you want on your team. I'm a problem solver, a leader, who's resourceful and creative, and I like a good challenge. On more than one occasion people have relied on me to pull the weight or lead the team in a crisis. I plan to make a dent in the workforce. In other words, watch out world, because here I come.
I ENJOY BEING INVOLVED AND GIVING BACK
The Herberger Business School at SCSU had numerous business clubs and I was heavily involved with many of them. In the past I had served in the role of President of the Business Student Executive Council (BSEC), the governing body of all business clubs charged with communicating to the presidents and vice presidents of each club. I helped to coordinate events such as Career Day and push other business students to get involved. Through this organization, and others, I met incredible students, professionals and faculty and learned how to be a leader. These organizations, on and off campus, shaped me into the person I am now and continue to influence me.
Within my four years at St. Cloud State, I was involved in a number of different organizations. Among these being:
