PRESENTATIONS
These are all presentations that I've created. All of them, except for the NSF Student Research Colloquium presentation, were created in my free time (while in college) because I enjoy creating presentations for others. I'm trying to find ways to improve my speaking skills and help communicate and guide other students through my college successes. Additionally, I like creating the custom designs for the slides and making them fun, interactive and different.
I feel like many college students aren't aware of the number of opportunities that there are for them to develop themselves professionally. After being in a co-ed business fraternity for two years and having attended multiple conferences, I put together a presentation that I feel appropriately depicts how you can take advantage of building yourself while in college and how to maximize those four years.

This is a presentation I made over Summer 2015. I presented it for the first time at a conference in Minneapolis in 2016. I wanted to create a fun, enjoyable presentation to communicate how to understand and win scholarships as a college student. It is possible to attend school and graduate with zero debt. I'm on that path

Just before I flew off to my study abroad in Germany, I created a recruitment presentation and delivered it to my chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, aimed at the women leaders in the group. I wanted to educate them on the opportunities in AAUW, give them a way into the organization, and encourage them to apply for the NCCWSL scholarship for 2016, something I'd done the previous year. I also encouraged them to partake in the fundraiser and volunteer if possible.
In May 2015 I had the opportunity to go back to my high school in Champlin, MN and present to a classroom of IB Business students. The IB Business class, which is one that I'd taken while in high school, is a two year course in which students learn a myriad of business concepts including basic accounting and economic principles. Students also must create a unique product and learn how to market it and then present on it during their senior year. In this presentation I better prepare the students for college in terms of pursuing a business degree, something that I can relate to.

In April 2015 I presented at the Student Research Colloquium at St. Cloud State University (SCSU). I was one of hundreds of students who had the opportunity to present their research. As part of the National Science Foundation scholarship at SCSU, I was required to pick a topic, write a research paper, and give my presentation. I decided to look into the progression of 9-1-1 telephone systems, specifically the newer developments in Next Generation 9-1-1 which utilizes not only x and y coordinates but also the z axis. This is a topic that I find very interesting and has lead me to reach out to the Visualization Lab on campus, of which I currently work now.

ANIMATIONs & VIDEOS
This video is one that I created for the Visualization Lab in order to showcase a number of the projects and to provide interview material from a few of those in the lab. It was great practice in video editing, I used Windows Media Maker.

This is a video I helped to compile for a friend who applied for a $4000 scholarship for study abroad.
A video I was asked to record for the Scholarship School, an online webinar I signed up to take to learn more about scholarships and meet like-minded students.
During my semester abroad I helped my friend Yoshka from the Netherlands edit a video for her school about her experience in Germany.

The following videos are projects I did for fun. I enjoy doing animation, but right now I consider myself amateur.
I used Creatoon (a piece of abandon-ware). Here is the story behind each video:
I used Creatoon (a piece of abandon-ware). Here is the story behind each video:
Rumplestiltskin: I spent the summer after my freshman year in high school working on this 11 minute video, practically by myself. My father helped with the music, but I wrote the script, drew all the pieces, collected audio, and animated it. The whole project took five weeks with me putting in nearly thirty hours a week. It was one of the toughest things I've ever done, but it was worth it to see what I could do.

|
Breakfast Club Trailer: This was a three day project involving my father, sister and brother. We just wanted to make a spoof trailer using the actual audio and use a penguin. Mission accomplished.
|
|
Drowsy Chaperone: My junior year of high school, the director asked me to put together a couple promotional videos to be displayed on the morning school news.
|
|
Wizard of Oz Parody: This project came about because my sister, brother and I were bored one day. We spent an entire day working on this video and completed it with the only goal in mind to recap the classic film in under a minute. And we did it. Talk about teamwork. Working with younger siblings can be tough.

Skit Intro to "SCOOPS": This is my most recent project. I've begun learning new software. The quick story is that my father, sister, and I came up with an idea for a sketch comedy called "SCOOPS". It's about women, aimed at women, and acted by women. I was tasked with creating the opening sequence and I'm proud of what I came up with. I drew every aspect of the video and like to think my capabilities have improved significantly since my first video, Rumplestiltskin.
